Code Invaders was created to help everyone and anyone create amazing 2d games, using real coding languages that can be transferred and used in the 'real world'. We have over 30 years experience writing software for all types of systems and platforms; from Mac OS applications, Windows tools, through to games, apps, business utilities and management systems for iOS, Android, Blackberry and Windows Phones.

We've worked with celebrities including Mrs Browns Boys, Charlotte Crosby and many more. Over the years we've developed Apps for both entertainment and business use. Our catalogue and portfolio of hit games and #1 featured apps spans many years.

We code in many languages, each to suit their target purpose and use. For the Code Invaders, we focus primarily on the LUA coding language. A widely used, mid-level language. The benefits for using LUA include cross platform use (iOS and Android), and it's relatively 'easy to use' syntax. You'll be writing LUA code like in no time at all!

We love creating Apps and Games. At Code Invaders, we’ll be creating a series of real iOS and Android games that each club member will customise to make it their own. Using our unique, fun, interactive and instantly rewarding system - each club member will have their very own App ready in no time at all.

We focus on creating 2d games, which are fun and engaging. Every step of video game creation is discussed, explained, demonstrated - then implemented. For each Code Invader club member, we work at a pace to suit each member - tailoring the course material according to each users skill level, to ensure they understand the club activity.

At the end of each game development cycle, every club member will have developed their own unique app/game, which can be published on Apple or Google App stores*, or, simply install their game on their own devices to show their friends and family.

*Publishing to Apple ot Google App stores requires a developers account which is chargeble rom Apple and/or Google.

Some schools, colleges, and even universities focus on development/coding languages such as Python, Logo Basic or visual GUI (Graphic User Interface) development environments such as GameMaker or GameSalad. These languages and systems are great, and an invaluable primer to using other coding languages.

At Code Invaders we create real games, using real development languages. In particular we focus on Corona LUA, Swift and Java. Using these mid to low level languages we can create any type of application for any system: iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac & Windows desktop. We can even create games for Steam, Ouya and Video Game consoles.

We believe it's great to learn a coding language, but what's even better is seeing your code come to life on an iPhone, Android Phone or even a games console. At Code Invaders, we do just that. Real code, that creates real games, for real devices!

Every Club member will be able to have a fully functioning App ready to be published to the various App Stores*, showcase to their friends and families, and even create a portfolio of their coding endeavours to future employers. How cools that?

Code Invaders is for everyone, suitable for all levels of skill and abilities. You don't have to be a coding genius to fit in and join the club. We have systems and a unique curriculum in place that works for everyone.

Obviously, there is an element of reading and typing - into computers. Therefore the very minimum of skills needed to enjoy the Code Invaders, would be a very basic grasp of the English languages. If you can read the following:

What ever your skill levels in coding, graphics, design or audio. We are here to help bring your games to life. At every step we work with each club member to help create awesome graphics, wiz-bang audio, sounds, SFX, special effects and all the coding and development guidance in easy to follow stages. Through the process we explain everything we've done, and over the weeks you'll gradually see how everything is created.

Note: If you are a coding genius, and are looking to advance your development skills to creating incredible 2d games, you'll be promoted to an Elite Coding Invader and set tasks and coding assignments applicable to your coding abilities.
